I went to a store as a kid, loads of these in neat little boxes and sitting on a chair you got a glimze of the odd one being fitted. The store ladies were all wearing them as well. great shape to the figures and when she kneeled down got a look at the stockings. I swear she and the other girl were trying to make me go red in the face. Bending over and all sorts. One big department store had a whole room of them on display, sometime they would send out invites to see the models with them on. The Industry struggled when the 60s came about and the less is more girls walked about. So many factories in the UK at one time. Eastern Germany and other European countries still make lighter ones, but these were heavyweights designed to pull in that body. Hand made to order from specialist makers now. The huge boobs would need them.
